Product line
Product line
Our success is based on the consequent orientation of the demands of
our customers. The supply of “tailormade” copper casting alloys is the
central task within our customer service.
Meanwhile more than 90 % of our production is manufactured according
individual requirements of our customers which are related to standard DIN
norms.
Our alloys are manufactured in commercial ingots up to 14 kg and are
stacked in pallets of 500 to 2.000 kg. The major part of the production is
delivered as continuous casting.
TECHNOLOGY
Latest technology guarantees the leading quality of our alloys.Three
rotating furnaces are basis for the production program. Two additional
furnaces will start production in 2000.
In 1998 the MSU started the production of Messing- and copper casting
alloys with two continuous casting systems. The big advantage of this
technology is the extremly high analytical homogeneity of the alloys,
which ensures the dominating position of the MSU regarding this aspect
and, at the same, time strengthens the position of our customers.
The conditioning of copper scum is secured in two houseowned ball mills
with a capacity of 4.000 tpy. Scrap which in not yet in furnace size is
crushed at Kark Konzelmann GmbH to adequate pieces.
Environment
Producing copper casting alloys our daily business is to protect
nature, to conserve resources and to save expensive energy.
Nevertheless, the production of copper casting alloys affects the
environment. Latest technology is necesarry to minimize damage to all
nature. Millons of DM are invested to keep up with the state of the art in
the technology of waste exhaust fumes and filter systems.
